Botcon 2009 took place May 28th -31st at the Pasadena Convention Center, Califonia. It was a huge success with more than 7100 visitors including the 1250 pre-registered fans.  

Fans of all ages came to see all the new toys for TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen, as well as the possibility to browse through older Transformers products at the many dealer shops. Visitors could demo the new TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen videogame at the Activision stand, buy comics and talk to the writers and animators at the IDW Publishing stand, and see the real OPTIMUS PRIME in truck mode.  

Kids had lots of fun with the Transformers Quest, which included activities like the Photo Area, where they could get their picture taken as BUMBLEBEE, NERF Dart Tag Area, where they could blast the leader of the DECEPTICONS MEGATRON, and the Transformers Challenge, where they could compete on time to convert robots into vehicles  

Fans and kids also had the chance to meet and talk to the Transformers designers, who gave several classes on “How to draw a TRANSFORMERS” BotCon was also visited by several celebrities including Peter Cullen (voice of OPTIMUS PRIME), Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Writers of the TRANSFORMERS (2007) and TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)), and Tyrese Gibson (Actor playing Sergeant Epps in TRANSFORMERS (2007) and TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)).  

The Hasbro team had a blast meeting fans of all ages and we hope everybody had a great time and look forward to meet again at BotCon 2010. Time and place will be made public on www.botcon.com and here at Transformers.com.
